Hello lads, its time for another rally call from me.  Can I congratulate the lads on making the double against our rivals Shepshed Messengers last Saturday.  It’s always nice to beat the local rivals twice.

 

On to more important issues; we as a 1st team have continued to learn and learn fast.  We have played against some talented teams such as Kegworth and Ibstock and have really tested our skills both physically and mentally.  Ibstock away was a huge test, in front of hundreds of guests, we had to fight in a difficult and intimidating environment.  That experience can only stand us in good stead.

 

We find ourselves fifth in the division which is extremely positive seeing as we have played the top four teams on the trot.  We now have a good run of fixtures against teams that are below us in the league.  These games are not easy ones, however, if we can put into practice all the aspects of the game that we have improved on recently, then we are going to take some beating.

 

We must continue to concentrate on our strengths and ambitions.  We MUST practice hard and work on weaknesses more now than ever before.  It is crucial that we pick up points as the ending will be tough as we play Kibworth, Narborough and Kegworth during the final 3 weeks of the season.

 

Guys I am really happy with our progress; we have definitely made teams stand up and take us seriously and if we finish in the top five this season, it will stand us in good stead to develop further next season.

Keep up the hard work fella’s, do it for you, the team and the club.  Let’s get Shepshed Town right up there with the best of them.
